In 2015, we were made aware of a family that were living in a dilapidated one-roomed shack in Atterdgeville. The family of five, of which two in wheel chairs, were living in dire circumstances and Maponya therefore decided to help build a new three-roomed shack with a decent toilet facility.
We also provided them with groceries and reached out to the whole community with basic sanitary requirements.
